Sarah Deacon

'Slovenia is a very exciting country to be working in. There is so much to be done.'

Sarah first joined the Reformed Evangelical Church in Ljubljana, Slovenia in May 2018 as a ministry intern. After several years of Biblical, language and cultural studies, she took over the role of youth worker in the church in September 2021.

Sarah spends her time leading the weekly youth group, meeting one to one with several teenage girls and supporting other ministries within the church. These include music, children’s work and women’s ministry.

As Slovenia has a relational culture, one of the most important aspects of her work is spending time with people and building friendships, especially if it involves coffee, ice-cream or both. Sarah especially enjoys these opportunities to share the gospel and to encourage and support other people in their faith.

You can keep up to date with Sarah's work by reading her blog: doberdanslovenia.blogspot.com
